About me
Hi! I'm Azam, a 4th year student at Western University, pursing an Honours Specialization in Computer Science. I'm passionate about software engineering, product design, and startups, and I'm constantly seeking opportunities to grow as a software developer through impactful work.
I'm currently a research assistant at my university, working on supervised learning models for early detection of Alzheimers. I'm also taking on the MLH Fellowship, a 12-week program where I work on open-source projects alongside talented engineers at META. Lastly, I'm working on a startup with some friends - an intuitive mental wellness application called 'Bonsai' which we plan on launching this summer!
Previously, I've worked as a Software Engineer Intern at an engineering consulting company called Hatch, as well as the Communications Security Establishment - one of Canada's key security and intelligence organizations. I've also worked as an undergraduate research assistant at Western University's Digital Epidemiology and Population Health (DEPtH) Lab, where I helped build and launch evidence-based digital health platforms.
In my free time, I'm very passionate about physical health and fitness. I try to start every day with some form of exercise, as it helps me maintain a focused mind and set a positive tone for the rest of the day.
Through this website you can take a look at my skills, experience, and personal projects. Feel free to contact me for inquiries, collaborations, or just to chat!
